This has been an idea that I have had floating around for a while.....
Such a simple little make, but one that I am mighty pleased with......
This particular one is heading to Uncle Bob for his Birthday....
The maps used are from his 'patch' around the Leeds area.....
My problem has been photographing it, so much reflection !, what am I doing wrong, there must be a way, but how ?....
Love it!
ReplyDeleteMay have to borrow this idea if that's ok!
Had thought about covering small convasses with maps of my favourite cities but really like this idea!

Oh I love hearts. What a great idea of using maps from the area where your uncle lives. xx

ReplyDeleteGreat idea, and I love the colours you chose!
ReplyDeletefab idea and one I have thought about in the past -every time I see something that has used maps I think to myself, that really is a very good idea. Love it xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea and this looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I made a circle one for my dad for his birthday last September (it's on my blog somewhere), I found the best way to photograph it was to take the glass out the frame and then take the photo! :) x
ReplyDeleteThat's brilliant and nice that it's personalised. Great present Maria.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely idea :)
ReplyDeleteKind of reminds me of the display cases you see with butterflies in - I wonder if that shape would work well too?
That's a beautiful gift and I love the incorporation of the maps and the sentimental value.
