At last I have finished my blocks for the July Fresh and Funky bee ! I don't know why they have taken me so long as I started making them weeks ago, and then abandoned them in my sewing room where they became hidden under a pile of stuff, only to be unearthed when I finally had a tidy up in there !
* Note to self - Make up and post blocks as soon as you receive them so this does not happen again !
Anyway here they are....
Lynette who's month it was sent us a great selection of fabrics in her chosen colours of pink, turquoise and lime green...
She asked us to make people and house blocks to make up into this 'burbs' quilt..
which is taken from Material Obsession by
Kathy Doughty and Sarah Fielke..
If you would like to see the blocks that the other members of our group have made you can find them on the Fresh and funky bee flickr group
Loving it! I have this book and this quilt is the one that caught my eye. I'm going to cut out some bits and pieces to take with me on my next trip - I'm off now to look on flickr for a little bit more inspiration. Well done you!
ReplyDeleteI love the pink and white spot with the green it is so striking... you have been a busy girl.
