CRAFTY SUNDAY # 5

A simple little bit of crafting this week, as I have been really busy with new wholesale orders for both a local shop and a online shop that will be opening soon (more of that to come, very exciting !)...

I have wanted to make this bird mobile from Spool for quite a long while, but have just not got around to it..

Photo: Spool

Did manage to find a spare moment in between making piles of cushions and bunting.

This is my version of the birds...

They are very simple to make and use very little fabric, scraps really...

I think the view of them from behind actually shows the fabric off better...

So, I think I just need to run up a few more, see if I can find some nice sticks and then I can hang them, probably in my sewing room, that's if a child doesn't claim them first...

These birds also have their own Flickr group Spoolbirdies, worth a look...

  1. They are so sweet! I love the 'Love' ones of course and also like how you reversed the slope park ones with having the busy fabric on the back for one, on the tum for the other, different but still unified.
